Underworld: Dubnobass withmyheadman (180g, Half-Speed Master) Vinyl 2LP

Underworld: Dubnobass withmyheadman (180g, Half-Speed Master) Vinyl 2LP

The album that launched Underworld Mk2. Before Karl Hyde and Rick Smith met Darren Emerson, Underworld was making what most would call synthpop or electropop. After touring in support of the Eurythmics in 1989, Hyde would stay in the US to work in Prince's studio while Smith returned to the UK. There Smith met Emerson and the two started working on tracks that were indebted to electronic music and club culture. Once Hyde returned the three started working together on what would become Dubnobasswithmyheadman. They took ideas and inspiration from everywhere leading to an album that straddled techno, house and pop. 20 years on the sounds are still fresh and interesting, the songs able to support the weight of Underworld's reputation.

  • 180g black double vinyl pressing
  • half-speed remaster cut at Abbey Road Studios
  • housed in gatefold jacket w/ printed inner sleeves
  • original release year: 1994
