Made Up Mind is the second studio album (third overall) from retro blues rockers Tedeschi Trucks Band. It’s the follow-up to their Grammy-winning debut Revelator and maintains the gritty southern charm, clean production, exceptional guitar work from Derek Trucks. Described as “equal part Stax and Muscle Shoals”, their sound is retro but their critique of historical and cultural lineages stop this from being a rehash. “Made Up Mind” is effected guitar and shimmering snares, “Do I Look Worried” is a low-key bluesy piano stomper with nearly psychedelic guitar lines. “Part of Me” is a definite highlight, uptempo rhythm guitar, tasteful brass, and that classic soulful drawl from vocalist Susan Tedeschi. This edition is pressed on 180g smoke colored vinyl and is packaged in an individually numbered gatefold sleeve.
