Tarika Blue has become a serious collectors piece thanks to all the soulful vocals, gorgeously arranged instrumentation and ill synthesizer parts permeating the record. You'll recognize "Dreamflower" as the source for the legendary loop on Erykah Badu’s “Didn’t Cha Know” produced by J Dilla. "Jimi" is a psychedelic ode to Hendrix with shredding guitar solo madness but still funky enough. Soulful stepper "Truth Is The Key" is a personal fave but the pedigree is strong throughout. Let’s face it, you’re never gonna find the original LP - do yourself a favor and get with this. Highly recommended!
