Originally released in the prime year of 1983 on the tiny NYC label TNT/Wilcur Records, Serena's "Get Your Body Up" is the perfect balance of heavy dancefloor boogie funk, soulful female vocals, and vocoders. Basically this track has got it all! Thank the reissue gods once again for this crispy import pressing because until now you'd either have to be extremely lucky digging in the field (you can bet the original pressing of this joint is rare as fuhh), or have to drop a pretty penny to get it! Includes the vocal version and the super tough instrumental on the flip. Essential purchase for the boogie freaks! Recommended.
