Sammy Bananas: Bootlegs Vol. 1 (Colored Vinyl) EP

Sammy Bananas: Bootlegs Vol. 1 (Colored Vinyl) EP

Sammy Banana's returns back to where it all started, vinyl! We all first got our taste of his penchant for bootleg edits, pumped up for prime time, on a few early Fool's Gold 12" singles. It's been a few clicks around this round world of ours since he's had the opportunity to drop any of his remixes on wax. To kick off 2013 proper, the Brooklyn based DJ (Greenpoint maybe? I swear I see him jogging around my neighborhood on the regs) started a Kickstarter campaign to cloud fund his next vinyl release. Kudos to him for the project's success! Luckily for you loyal Labheads, we were able to score some copies of Bootlegs Vol. 1. What you'll find is some serious reworks of hip hop and r&b heaters, ready to do damage. He puts Young Jeezy's "I Do" through the Daft Punk machine and beefs up the rhythm on Miguel's "Adorn." J. Cole gets his tempo turned up to Paula Abdul territory. The one that seems to be the most in demand, though, is Kell's "My Body" which has been manhandled in the most explicit of ways. Strictly limited to 100 copies pressed on banana yellow vinyl.
