Debut release of eclectic electronic fusion from Mikael Seifu. The Ethiopian-born producer brings a unique and refreshing angle to the scene on this limited 12" with variety of styles which Mikael calls "Ethiopian Electronic." Check the heavy atmospheric bump of "Dropleton" that combines Andy Stott-esque subterranean house grooves with ethnic percussion, while "Wedagn" breaks it down with hypnotic ethio-folk samples over a dreamy slo-mo beat reminiscent of Arca. The stunning title track "Yarada Lij" is more proof that this is a name to watch for. Recommended.
