Logg: Logg (Leroy Burgess, Larry Levan) Vinyl LP

Offfical reissue! Logg's sole 1981 release is an essential disco boogie masterpiece. The one-off project was the brainchild of prolific disco singer/producer/songwriter Leroy Burgess (of The Aleems, Inner Life, Universal Robot Band, Bumblebee Unlimited, etc.) who assembled an all-star cast of musicians to bring to life one of the greatest records of the post-disco era. Every single track on here bangs to this day, and is a testament to Burgess' genius. It's no wonder this was a Larry Levan favorite (Levan actually mixed "I Know You Will") with several tracks getting major play at the Paradise Garage. Disco heads already know the deal, but for those unfamilar check "I Know You Will," "You've Got That Something," "Dancing Into The Stars," and the sleeper jam "Lay It On The Line." Legit 2015 remastered reissue from the legendary Salsoul label. Recommended.
