Along with Iggy And The Stooges' previous full length (Fun House from 1970), Raw Power is aggressive and rough around the edges, with an obvious proto-punk vibe especially on songs like "Shake Appeal," "Death Trip," Search And Destroy," and the title track. The album has gained a cult following through the years despite poor sales upon original release, proving that perhaps Iggy And The Stooges were simply ahead of their time.
