Key repress! DJ Metatron's 2 The Sky is thankfully back in print after selling out almost immediately upon its initial release. The songs that make up the 12" are not complicated. They draw on early trance and 90s hardcore with their euphoric qualities, a way of mainlining the halcyon years of the rave era. There's a feeling of optimism that pervades the release, but it's contrasted with a touch of sadness. I can get deeper on this, wax on the music's authenticity and how the Jake Gyllenhaal monologue ties it all together, but I don't think I need to. Another top release from the Giegling crew that should be short-circuiting your brain to buy on site. Don't sleep. Recommended.
