City And Colour: Guide Me Back Home (Indie Exclusive Colored Vinyl) Vinyl 3LP

City And Colour: Guide Me Back Home (Indie Exclusive Colored Vinyl) Vinyl 3LP

Dallas Green went on a 25-city Canada tour in 2017 as City and Colour alias. Billed as "An Evening with City and Colour," the singer-songwriter was accompanied on stage only by multi-instrumentalist Matt Kelly, and what came forth is a collection of serene, stripped-down songs spanning the entire City and Colour catalogue. Not much more than acoustic guitar & piano back up Green's beautifully achy vocals, and long-time fans will appreciate the fact that Guide Me Back Home is a return to City and Colour's unplugged roots. Check out "Comin' Home" and the closer "Sleeping Sickness," which is a tribute to the late vocalist Gord Downie. Other highlights include "We Found Each Other in the Dark," "What Makes a Man?," and "Friends." Lastly, the between-song banter from Green helps liven up the mood.
