The cover of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" is just an awesome slow burner, while "Healer" and "Tomorrow Is So Far Away" brings the beat to the heat for that extra bump. The killer synthwork from Johnny Jewel paired with Ruth's poetic vocals is seductive and demands multiple listens. And just in case you're not in the mood for words, there's the instrumentals "I Want Your Love" and "Let's Make This A Moment To Remember." Titles sound like Smokey Robinson singles? Not quite, but they are smokey for sure. Also check out "Circled Sun," a hypnotic nu disco track built on subtle layers of guitar, synths, and drums that's full of that after-hours vibe prevalent throughout the album.
