Josh Karpeh aka Cautious Clay's cover of Toro y Moi's "So Many Details" introduced him to the internets in 2016, and the Cleveland-born, Brooklyn-based producer/singer/songwriter is back with a new project. Balancing his knack for melodies with sprawling electronica, Clay delivers a rousing 6-track EP—expect soulful, soaring vocals and warm soundscapes. "Sidewinder" is the opener, a guitar-assisted charmer marrying uptempo rhythms with beautiful harmonies. "Settler's Paradise" is another highlight, with Clay's background vocals acting as an ambient backdrop, and "Saturday Morning Cartoons," featuring lo-fi R&B artist UMI, showcases Clay effortlessly stepping in and out of dream pop & neo funk territories. Also check out "Swim Home," which was co-written & co-produced with John Mayer and featured on Netflix's 13 Reasons Why season 3.
