Northern Soul fans are familiar with the tenderness of Hutton's music, who recorded in Michigan and Chicago and only put out one studio album (aforementioned). "Lend a Hand" is uplifting af, with Hutton's undulating vocals set against dynamic bass work and string and horn sections that keep the energy bubbling. Flip the record over for "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love," penned by Terry Callier and Larry Wade, and really showcasing the gentler, more soulful side of Hutton's voice. Fantastic on both sides, Japanese pressing, jacket included, remastered from analog source.
