Anthony Naples: Mad Disrespect (Mister Saturday Night) EP
Debut release from the Mister Saturday Night crew! Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin have been holding down Brooklyn for a minute with their Mister Saturday Night loft parties (and the Sunday Best parties before that), bringing a host of international all-stars to our great borough including Motor City Drum Ensemble, Theo Parrish, Caribou, and Pearson Sound to name a few. After many great parties, it only makes sense that a record label would follow so here it is! The first installment comes courtesy of newcomer Anthony Naples. Naples gives the world a taste of the Brooklyn house flavor with three tracks that do a great job of capturing the vibe of the MSN parties, especially with the deep bumps of the title track "Mad Disrespect." Gotta love those warm chords and soulful vocal chops. "Slackness" is a stripped down percussion work out that takes it deeper, while "Tusk" closes it out - bringing back those deep dreamy chords one more time for positive dancefloor vibes. Limited hand stamped copies.
