Recorded at Pachyderm Studio in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, the band goes for a straightforward sound ("we wanted to tighten the screws a bit, simplify things a little and focus more on punching you in the nuts with our rock"), with satisfying power chords and well written hooks driving the LP. The songs pack a lot of punch, w/ a lot of self-loathing lyrics and constant references to alcoholism "Private Eye," "Mr. Chainsaw," "Stupid Eye," and "Armageddon."
